The BAT104-NiMh2-RTC is a battery backup module for the HESC-SERD-HV and provides 2100mA-Hr of battery backup power. For additional power, a BAT104-NiMh2 and a BAT104-NiMh2-RTC can be connected to the HESC-SERD-HV for an 4200mA-Hr of battery backup.

The HESC-UPS18 firmware supports the BAT104-RTC and can command set the BAT104-RTC to "wake up" the HESC-SERD at any second up to the year 2136AD. Similarly, the HESC-UPS18 firmware can cause the HESC-SERD outputs to turn off at any second up to the year 2136AD.

The BAT104-RTC includes an input for a contact closure over-ride to awaken the BAT104-RTC when the HESC-SERD is in "sleep" mode.
