Overview

The BAT104-RTC is a battery backup module for the HESC* family of products. In addition to providing 650mA-Hr of battery backup power, the BAT104-RTC also includes input Mosfet to isolate the HESC* from the main input power. When the HESC* output are off, and the HESC has commanded the BAT104-RTC to go into isolation mode, all power drain from the battery is eliminated. The RTC continues to maintain time in this mode and operates from it's own Lithium primary cell.

The HESC-UPS18 firmware supports the BAT104-RTC and can command set the BAT104-RTC to "wake up" the HESC at any second up to the year 2136AD. Similarly, the HESC-UPS18 firmware can cause the HESC outputs to turn off at any second up to the year 2136AD.

The BAT104-RTC include an input for a contact closure over-ride to awaken the BAT104-RTC when in the isolated mode.
