Overview

The main concern in medical and nursing applications is keeping the facilities and equipment germ free and sanitary, which is important to both the medical staff and the patients. The smart terminals MTP-1502 and MTP-1702, introduced by Avalue Technology, have been designed specifically to deal with these concerns. They also have been constructed to be durable and unobtrusive to help provide patients the best possible experience.

Slim / All in One Design:
Due to space constraints, the MTP-1502/1702 is designed as an all-in-one system to reduce the inconveniences caused by the unit's weight or messy cables and cords. All the devices are included in its thin, light weight housing. This slim system will waste no space or trip people on its wires or accessories.

Fanless Operation:
Patients expect to not be annoyed by computer noise while they are nearby. For providing a better experience and to reduce the noise made from the system, the MTP-1502/1702 uses a fanless design. This design avoids any potential system crashes caused by a fan breakdown while effectively dealing with heat through its venting holes and rear heat sink. Finally, a fanless system is particularly suitable for use in hospitals and care centers because the dust and germs in the environment won't be stirred up by the system.

15"/17" Touch Screen:
The MTP1702/1502's Touch Screen is not only intended as a fancy feature or for ease-of-use; it's very important for a germ free environment. For most uses keyboards and mice are helpful tools, but they can become problems in medical applications since keyboards and mice easily become hotspots for bacteria, germs and dust. With a touch screen these hard to clean accessories are unnecessary. However, it's still far from the sanitary requirements needed for medical usage if it only used an ordinary touch screen system. Therefore, the MTP1502/1702 has more features to help make it even more sanitary.

Anti-bacterial Plastic Housing:
Since the front panel is the most frequently touched part of this system, we have special concerns about transmitting germs and microorganisms on it. By adopting a special antibacterial housing these undesirables are prevented from easily spreading.

IP-65 Compliant Front Face Sealing:
IP-65 is a widely known standard of water and dust proofing. The certification of IP-65 guarantees this system will continue to function normally if it is splashed and there will be no damage from any possible liquid penetration. This also means that the MTP-1502/1702's front panel can be wiped and disinfected with detergent, liquid disinfectant, antiseptics or any kind of cleaning spray.
