End of Life Announcement
Description
msystems is announcing the End of Life (EOL) of the mDOC G4 1Gb (128MB) and mDOC G4 2Gb (256MB) products.
The affected products and their recommended replacements are described in Table 1.

Reason for EOL
The mDOC G4 devices (with a 90nm manufacturing process) are being discontinued due to the availability of alternative products, mDOC H3, with more advanced technology (70nm manufacturing process).
Schedule
Final order date: December 31st, 2006
Final shipment date: June 29th, 2007
Orders placed or scheduled until the final order date are classified as Non-Cancelable, Non-Returnable (NCNR).
Due to material availability, orders significantly higher than forecast or historical run rate may not be accepted.
Compatibility Issues
msystems mDOC products are designed for backward compatibility. The recommended replacement devices offer compatible package (FBGA 9x12mm), and ballout that requires only minor modifications to the PCB. As a result, the H3 replacement can be easily integrated into a G4 design.
It is necessary to upgrade software based on TrueFFS 6.3.x to TrueFFS 7.1.x and above when upgrading to mDOC H3.
