SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- January 24, 2007 --AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced that its AMD64 Longevity Program for embedded solutions, which provides processor availability for five years, has expanded to include two additional low-power processors based on AMD’s successful mobile products. The addition of the Mobile AMD Sempron™ processor model 3500+ and the AMD Turion™ 64 X2 dual-core mobile technology Model TL-52 to the AMD64 Longevity Program means embedded designers will have more options to innovate at the system-level, and the opportunity to deliver leading edge performance with low cost of ownership to their customers.

These low-power processors provide a specific balance of performance, packaging features and thermal envelopes to best meet customer requests for embedded processors in the thin client and single board computing markets.

The AMD64 Longevity Program offers a select set of AMD64 processors with an extended standard availability period of five years—addressing the requirements of customers designing products for network, storage, blade and telecommunications servers; digital imaging; and military and industrial controls systems. Such markets have lengthy design and qualification cycles and longer life spans in the marketplace than typical mainstream computing products. Products offered under the AMD64 Longevity Program are identical in form, fit and function to their standard roadmap counterparts.
