END OF LIFE (EOL) NOTICE: Blue Heat/PCi
EOL Notice by Connect Tech Inc.:
Dear Valued Tri-M Systems Customer:
Due to the End of Life (EOL) of a critical component used in Connect Tech's Blue Heat/PCI products and the inability to source a suitable replacement, Connect Tech has been forced to EOL the Blue Heat product line.
Products affected include:
- Blue Heat/PCI
- Blue Heat/PCI Current Loop
- Blue Heat/PCI RJ-11
- Blue Heat/PCI Opto
- Universal Blue
- Heat/PCI and Blue Heat/PCI Pass Through Mux adapters
(any product that includes a “BH” or “BU” prefix)
We understand that the decision to EOL these products may initially cause some concern. As a result, we are offering a last time buy. We are pleased to inform you that replacement products already exist for most Blue Heat/PCI models. Please review the table on the following page for your replacement.
Be assured that the replacement products listed are cost effective solutions and provide features such as; universal PCI (3.3V and 5V), RoHS compliance, standard height and low profile options, as well as, PCI Express solutions. We would be happy to provide you with an evaluation unit to test and validate these products for your applications.
We are committed to ensuring the transition to new Connect Tech products is as smooth as possible. We will continue to service existing boards and will honor existing warranties according to each product’s warranty policy. The next steps recommended to you are as follows:
1. Contact your Reseller or Distributor to place a non-cancelable, non-returnable order as soon as possible. Connect Tech will accept orders no later than March 15, 2007. Orders will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Deliveries must be taken by September 1, 2007. We reserve the right to refuse orders if supply constraints prevent us from fulfilling orders.
2. Review the replacement list provided or contact Connect Tech at sales@tri-m.com or 604-945-9565 to work with our sales staff to upgrade your system with the appropriate replacement.
3. Should a direct replacement card not exist for your particular product, contact Connect Tech and let our engineering staff design a custom board to fit your system.
For customers that have invested in our Blue Heat/PCI products and whose systems continue to rely on the availability of these adapters, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Unfortunately, the announcement from our supplier regarding the discontinuation came as suddenly as the notification we have given you. We appreciate your business and we are confident that we will be able to provide you with a future solution that you can depend on.
